Simply remove the handguard from any model Mini-14 (180's and Ranch versions too) and install the two-sided four inch long steel clamp, then attach the nine inch long Picatinny style mount portion as per the instructions and you are READY TO ROCK! Iron sights visible under the rail. No permanent mods to your rifle. Great for law enforcement or varmint hunters. Many customers report improvement in their groups due to the steel clamps removing some of the harmonics....don't know for sure, but we sure know it works slick as a pin.
